Athens, Greece - An anarchist arson gang smashed holes in the security gates and windows of three separate banks in downtown Athens and deposited firebombs inside early Saturday morning, causing extensive damage. In the evening the offices of an ultra right-wing fascist organization were attacked with more molotov cocktails, causing minor damages. The fascists returned fire with semiautomatic hunting rifles. Two men were shot, suffering minor injurines, and were apprehended by police. The men claimed to be innocent passers-by, but police have not ruled them out as potential suspects. The next day the fascists' offices were searched and more unexploded firebombs were discovered.
